[FRAMED]: Stephanie Gagne, Production Coordinator, MTL
[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].
What are you guilty of?
Throwing my clean clothes in a pile rather than taking the time to fold or hang them. It’s an organised mess, okay?
What was your last brush with danger?
When my appendix casually decided to burst during a client call and then rushed to the hospital.
Your last brush with greatness?
I was at a vineyard. They had sheep. The sheep saw me. They ran towards me, baaing. I felt like a Disney princess.
Your worst character fault?
My sass.
Your most shining quality?
My sass.
If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?
I did my MA in art history to work in a museum. So, I guess I would be struggling to find a job right now.
You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?
I want to say a beautiful, remote island but let’s be honest, I would definitely get caught.
Who’s your partner-in-crime?
My partner!
Fantasy cellmate?
Whichever superhero could help me escape.
What’s your favourite movie/TV show and why?
Drive — the cinematography, the music, the story.
Your greatest achievement?
Adopting my cat, Leo.
Most valuable skill?
Being able to sleep on a plane.
Go on, say something bragging:
I…can’t.
Name your vice/pet peeve?
People who speak too loud.
The DREAM project would entail:
Working with my favourite people at Framestore.
Your career highlight to date:
I think it’s yet to come.
This week I learnt that:
Production is nothing without Shotgun. Also, answering this questionnaire isn’t as easy as I thought it would be.
What’s your current view?
My cat, lounging on the balcony. What a life.
Give us a desk tour:
It’s too messy. You don’t want to see it.
What do you need to work on the daily?
Lots of coffee and Lady Gaga.
Framestore is, to you, in three words:
Talent, quality and bagels.
Best thing about your work environment?
It’s quiet, except when my cat screams at me for food.
Framestore is great at:
Cultivating skills and Christmas parties.
Favourite artform?
Drawing. When I worked at an art gallery, I loved the works by one of our artists, Ningiukulu Teevee.
Favourite image?
Currently any image coming from the James Webb Space Telescope.
Fictional character you’d like to hang with?
Alexis Rose.
Happiness looks like:
Being amongst nature whether it be in a forest or by the ocean.
If not here, then where?
The countryside.
What do you think of too often?
Did I lock the door to my apartment?
And not enough?
To be more mindful.
Couldn’t live without:
My cat.
If you ruled the world:
What a horrible thought.
Stephanie Gagne, you’ve been [FRAMED].
