[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

I have always wanted to join the police force ever since I was a kid — but somehow haven’t got the chance to yet!

What was your last brush with danger?

My last brush with danger was 7 years ago when I was travelling by bus and the bus hit a divider.

Your last brush with greatness?

It felt amazing helping the homeless and needy out during the lockdown period.

Your worst character fault?

I trust people too quickly.

If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?

I would either be a chef or a sculptor.

You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?

I respect the law too much to break it!

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

Nobody.

What’s your favourite movie/TV show and why?

In Hollywood — Titanic and in Bollywood — all the 90’s love stories.

Your greatest achievement?

That I am completely financially independent.

Most valuable skill?

My approach toward life is extremely positive and I am always up for a good challenge.

Go on, say something bragging:

I am a hero in the eyes of my brother, sister and friends and I am also a very obedient son to my mother!

The DREAM project would entail:

I would love to work on a historical-based movie someday!

Your career highlight to date:

I have worked on so many interesting projects to date, out of which some of my favourites are — Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Avengers: End Game and Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore.

This week I learned:

I learned some compositing tricks and some advanced paint tricks.

What’s your current view? [in the office]

Currently, towards my left side window, I can see Mumbai’s lifeline — the local train and on my right side is our studio’s cafeteria.

Give us a desk tour!

Currently, at my home desk, you will find a monitor, a keyboard, a mouse, a pair of earphones, a sculpture of Lord Shiva and a pen and notebook.

What do you need to work on the daily?

Music and a cup of tea!

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

Opportunities, inspiration and learning.

Best thing about your work environment?

I get to work with friendly and talented people I can learn from daily.

Framestore is great at:

Providing opportunities for everyone to learn and grow as well as giving responsibilities to those who are deserving and have rightfully earned them.

Favourite artform?

Sculpting is by far one of my most favourite art forms that catches my attention instantly. Apart from that, I am fascinated by all the different types of art forms.

Favourite image?

All colourful images.

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Captain America.

Happiness looks like:

You are living the life you’ve always wanted — Going with the flow and taking life as it comes.

If not here, then where?

At my own restaurant.

What do you think of too often?

How to live life with happiness and satisfaction and not get stressed about anything.

And not enough?

Money & exercise!

Couldn’t live without:

My family.

If you ruled the world:

I would like to control people’s minds and thoughts.

Amol Dhobe, you’ve been [FRAMED].
