[FRAMED]: Frederikke Glick, Compositing Supervisor, MTL

[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

It’s better not to say…

What was your last brush with danger?

Brushing my teeth next to a scorpion in Mexico (unknowingly).

Yikes. Your last brush with greatness?

Surviving working full time with a toddler during this pandemic. All parents are magicians!

Hats off. Your worst character fault?

I can be stubborn — but I’ll eventually listen!

Your most shining quality?

It’s all in the charm. 😉

You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?

New Zealand. I’ve never been, but it seems like the perfect place to get lost.

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

My Framestore colleague Perdita. Together, we can rule the world!

Fantasy cellmate?

Graphic artist Maurits Cornelis Escher. If anyone can escape reality, it’d be him. Picture this:

Your greatest achievement?

This amazing person:

Adorable. Most valuable skill?

I know where everything is in Home Depot and Ikea. #followme

Go on, say something bragging:

My cooking will make you fall in love with me.

We already have! Name your vice/pet peeve?

Unprotected sneezes and snorts!

The DREAM project would entail:

A full team and lots of office banter.

Your career highlight to date:

Working on the baby Alien on Alien: Covenant.👽

This week I learnt that:

You can eat too much ice cream.

What’s your current view?

It’s 08.34, the sun is shining and it’s already 22 degrees celsius in Montreal.

Give us a desk tour:

All the usual tech gear, notepad, headphones and a water bottle. Less is more, namaste. 🙏

What do you need to work, on the daily?

Coffee, music, and banter.

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

My First Choice.

Best thing about your work environment?

Getting to spend more time with my baby boss.

Framestore is great at:

Supporting people to evolve and be inspired.

Favourite art form?

Decorative arts — in particular furniture and architecture.

Favourite image?

This gas station in my hometown in Skovshoved, Denmark.

It’s designed by Arne Jacobsen and it brings back lots of memories.

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Magic Mike.

Not bad at all. Happiness looks like:

My son’s face. Cheesy, I know!

If not here, then where?

Building tiny houses in Costa Rica.

What do you think of too often?

My next DIY project or how to re-decorate my apartment (my partner loves me for it).

And not enough?

The simplicity of : nothing!

Couldn’t live without:

If you ruled the world:

Four days work week and three days weekend!
