[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].
What are you guilty of?
I tend to easily remember dumb quotes from films /tv shows/memes/youtube.. And always randomly place them during conversations.. No one ever understands the references so I end up laughing alone at my own jokes.
What was your last brush with danger?
Does going out for food shopping during a pandemic count?
Lockdown aside, I guess spontaneously accepting to jump out of a plane in Australia is a pretty dangerous scary thing to do!
Your last brush with greatness?
A couple years ago I felt very excited to have the opportunity to check out the set of Pokemon: Detective Pikachu, and see how things unfold in the studio. Unfortunately that day it was the B-Team filming so none of the big actors were there. It was still pretty awesome!
Your worst character fault?
Sometimes my imagination takes over and my mind goes way up into the clouds, inside its own bubble, and for others it may feel like I’m distancing myself, or seem uninterested (which I swear I’m not haha!).
Your most shining quality?
I always do things with energy and good vibes. Might as well make everything fun and enjoyable for myself and others around me. :)
If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?
If it weren’t for my love of animation, you’d probably find me on stage singing, moving people through another type of storytelling. Music has always been another passion of mine so it would make sense i’d have that as a Plan B. Travel photography would be Plan C…
You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?
I’ve been craving for some sunshine and beach time away from cold and rainy London… So if i were to run away, might as well hide on a nice remote island with some peace and quiet for a change!
Who’s your partner-in-crime?
Do I have to only pick one? Because it depends on the situation!
Either my mum, with whom I’m very close, or my little group of girl friends. The 4 of us always go places together, so if one of us goes down, we all go down!
What’s your favorite movie/TV show and why?
This is such a difficult question, to which I usually answer Toy Story. Even though it’s aged a lot, and technically nowadays we can do much much better, this film is the origin of my passion for animation. Toy Story ignited my spark for storytelling back in the day when I was just a kid, and is how I came to do this job.
Your greatest achievement?
Having one of my shots (Ludicolo from Detective Pikachu) become a trendy Gif/meme on the internet. Next Level Nerd Achievement right there, thank you very much.
Most valuable skill?
Back in the day I used to know Finding Nemo by heart, and I could probably still recite the whole movie now, act out all the different characters and voices, in French. Hon hon hon.
Go on, say something bragging:
Mentioning that I am a CGI animator in the Movie Business during a party gathering, or on a date, hundred percent makes me win brownie points! (unless there are other CGI artists present, then in that case…I got nothing…)
Name your vice/pet peeve?
It makes my skin crawl hearing people chew loudly or bite their nails… But to be fair, I bite my fingers too.. So I keep it to myself and move on!
The DREAM project would entail:
Anything gay! We need more LGBTQ projects and representation.. So I’m hoping to be part of something like this one day! Also anything cartoon or Disney shows :D
Your career highlight to date:
Hearing my father brag about me at work to his colleagues “oh you took your children to see Paddington 2? Oh yeah it’s fantastic, isn’t it. My daughter made it. You’re welcome.” No! too far dad.. Too far!
This week I learnt that:
I learned about Marie Kondo-ing the heck out of my childhood bedroom, as I am staying at my parents’ for a bit and I need to sort out over 20 years of useless accumulated memorabilia!
What’s your current view?
Sweden, Spain, Azerbaijan, France, Canada, UK, Iran, Ireland… The Flag collection on my Brother’s bedroom walls, as I have taken over his desk for my “work space” (closer to the WiFi!)
My Framestore desk would be filled with Plushies representing the projects I’ve worked on (Pikachu, Paddington 2, Lady and the Tramp, Tom and Jerry…) and a huge industrial blue roll of papertowels I stole from the kitchens to wipe the dozens of water glasses I’ve spilled.
But right now, working from home, I have a hand sanitiser bottle on one side, my brother’s medical anatomy study books on the other, and a closed sippy cup water bottle so i don’t spill anything!
What do you need to work, on the daily?
I feel like I need to say something healthy like “a good workout” or “delicious home-made balanced meals”… * she says while stuffing her face with gluten free cookies & listening to upbeat pop music in her pyjamas*

Best thing about your work environment?
Best thing about working from home is the practicality of it all.
Commute? None!
Multitasking? let’s go crazy and throw a laundry cycle while i render this playblast!
Pants? What are those!?
Colleagues? i… yeah.. I do miss my colleagues. Or just humans in general!

Favourite artform?
Drawing! Especially on my Ipad Pro. Best purchase ever!

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?
Probably Merida from Brave! Or Ella Lopez from the Lucifer series! Any energetic funny quirky nerdy “best friend vibe” character I suppose.
Happiness looks like:
A box of cookies in one hand, another box of cookies in the other hand, a fluffy purring cat on my lap, my favorite songs playing on Spotify, watching the sun set over the crashing waves of the sea … don’t judge, one can only dream!!
If not here, then where?
Probably a sunny beach in Australia (i see a recurring pattern here..)
What do you think of too often?
How freakishly expensive London is and how I’m not bloody rich enough to buy anything on the housing market close to work yet.
And not enough?
Nothing. I wish my brain could turn off sometimes.. And just think of nothing!
Couldn’t live without:
Music.
and chocolate.
And sunshine.
And my family, and nature, and stories, and… ugh i can’t chose!
If you ruled the world:
Oh, that’s dangerous. You don’t want to put me in charge of the world! Imagine having Cookie Monster as your president! Probably not a good idea…
What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned about yourself during quarantine?
Although I’m an introvert and I like my alone time to recharge my social batteries, isolation (weather imposed or not) is extremely challenging both mentally and physically and I honestly didn’t think it would have such a toll on me. One should never underestimate the power of a hug, or even simple human contact. Be kind to one another, and check on your close ones.
