[FRAMED]: Kelsey Alexopoulos, Production Coordinator, MTL
[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].
What are you guilty of?
Filling out this survey instead of working.
What was your last brush with danger?
Hiking in rural Ireland and getting my feet sucked into grass (it was bog).
Your last brush with greatness?
Getting this close to Tobias Forge at a Ghost concert!
Your worst character fault?
I get hangry very easily…
If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?
I’d probably still be a concept artist or some sort of visdev artist.
You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?
My parents house. My mom’s favourite past-time is gaslighting police officers, so they’ll never find me.
Who’s your partner-in-crime?
My partner, Samadhi.
What’s your favourite movie/TV show and why?
What We Do in the Shadows is my favourite TV show because it has everything I like: vampires, Victorian asthetic and bad jokes.
Your greatest achievement?
Making my Greek parents happy and proud (they’re just happy I have insurance).
Most valuable skill?
Speaking three languages!
Go on, say something bragging:
I can knit my own clothes (and I will knit you a hat for a small fee).
Name your vice/pet peeve?
Being late. I get incredibly anxious if I’m late to something.
The DREAM project would entail:
An animated feature Ghibli style with a mix of Terry Pratchett and and an awesome team.
Your career highlight to date:
Working on Ballerina as a concept artist. I was a small ball of nerves but I learned a lot.
This week I learnt that:
It’s not actually cold in space.
What’s your current view?
A gentrified apartment building across the street blocks my view of the sky from my window.
Give us a desk tour!
A coffee always ready to go, the most pastel keyboard I could put together, whatever I’m knitting at the time (with a bunch of knitting needles lying around, yeah I’m a grandma), and broken arrows made into pens.
What do you need to work on the daily?
An iced coffee.
Framestore is, to you, in three words:
Social, accepting, nerds.
Best thing about your work environment?
That I can go lie down on my couch if I want to.
Framestore is great at:
Helping people make friends and grow their social circles.
Favourite artform?
Anything animated.
Favourite image?
This one I took somewhere in Ireland.
Fictional character you’d like to hang with?
Uncle Iroh, with some tea.
Happiness looks like:
My fluffy cat lying on me while we watch TV.
If not here, then where?
Some sort of countryside.
What do you think of too often?
All the hobbies I want to do and how I don’t do them.
And not enough?
What I’m going to make for supper.
Couldn’t live without:
A good book.
If you ruled the world:
I’d probably be dethroned real fast.
Kelsey Alexopoulos , you’ve been [FRAMED].
