Which film or TV series do you wish you could watch again for the first time?

The Harry Potter series. I’d also love to re-read them with a blank memory.

Which Framestore character do you feel you’re most like?

Paddington Bear; clueless at times, but somehow it works out in the end.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Middle Earth, specifically Hobbiton. It would be the most relaxing holiday ever.

What’s your favourite project that you worked on at Framestore?

Guardians of the Galaxy 3 in London. The team was absolutely incredible and it’s so exciting to be on an Oscar Nominated show. I have some of my fondest memories at Framestore on that project.

If you hadn’t gotten into VFX what would you be doing now?

I’d have loved to go into wedding planning, still highly organised with a sprinkling of high stakes; as well as seeing the joy on people's faces when the day is complete.

The DREAM project would entail:

An incredibly passionate crew, funny dailies, working on a book I read in my childhood and getting to see all of the nerdy details come to life (looking at you Harry Potter TV series and the Percy Jackson series).

How would you describe your job to a child?

It’s my job to work out how we get from no film to the finished thing; I get told how much time and how many people I have, and then it’s up to me to help work out everybody’s day-to-day plan.

Describe your career journey (into the exciting world of VFX).

I started by studying Animation and VFX at Manchester Metropolitan in the UK. In the summer break between second and third year, I was lucky enough to be accepted into the Framestore Launchpad Internship in London in the Production dept. I had an amazing time and applied to return to Framestore after I graduated. I returned to Framestore and have loved every minute of it. I’ve worked on some of the most exciting projects and have been privileged to work with some amazing people. After spending four years in London I moved to the Melbourne office so I could see the world whilst doing something I love.

Describe a day in the life of a Line Producer in emojis:

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

Friendly, welcoming, home.

What is the biggest perk about working at Framestore?

Being able to travel the world whilst doing a job I love.

Framestore is great at:

Encouraging and retaining talent. All of the new initiatives to foster talent and inspire growth are amazing to see.

Favourite artform?

Novels

Favourite image?

My God, Help Me to Survive This Deadly Love by Dmitri Vrubel.

What’s your favourite movie/ series/ advert/ immersive experience and why?

New Girl, because it’s so wholesome and silly. It’s something I can easily turn off my brain and watch when I need to.

What is the last piece of art that inspired you?

A beautiful Excel formula.

How do you unlock your creativity?

An adventure outside doing something new, then comfortable surroundings to really allow me to focus.

From where do you seek inspiration?

Outside in the world. Every tiny element of life is full of the most beautiful and intricate details. The answer to any problem is always outside.

Who in the industry do you admire most and why?

Jennifer Lee, Creative Directive Officer of Disney Animation Studios.

Share the best piece of advice you’ve ever received:

As long as you look someone in the eye and tell them you did your best, regardless of the outcome, that’s all that matters.

What tech/innovation could you not live without?

My phone, especially at work. It’s a blessing and a curse; I always know what’s going on, but I also always know what’s going on.

What tech/innovation deserves the hype?

Sliced bread.

What tech do you need that hasn’t been invented yet?

An alarm to tell me when I’m too dehydrated.

Eleanor Weeks you’ve been [FRAMED].
