[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

Once I did the worst prank with my school teacher…

What was your last brush with danger?

I had just learnt how to drive a car, pulled out of a parking lot, and hit the accelerator instead of the breaks. Luckily, I didn’t hit anyone!

Your last brush with greatness?

I was in a hospital and saw a man who couldn’t pay for his expensive medical bill and I gave him the little money I had on me. After seeing this, the doctor waived the balance on his bill.

Your worst character fault?

I trust anyone immediately…

If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?

I would be a professional football player.

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

My older brother.

What’s your favourite movie/TV show and why?

Inception is one of my favourites because I love thriller movies. This movie has an amazing script and execution. Most importantly, I am a huge Christopher Nolan fan.

Your greatest achievement?

I recently bought a spacious flat in Mumbai. This was one of the biggest dreams of my life.

Most valuable skill?

Cooking.

Name your vice/pet peeve?

Shera.

The DREAM project would entail:

It would be great to work on an ocean, underwater, or jungle sequence including creatures, ships, and other objects. These would be fun CG environments to work on.

Your career highlight to date:

I started my career in a small studio at the age of nineteen. After a few years, I moved to Mumbai where I learnt a lot about the VFX industry and worked on great projects. I then went back home to WFH and spent a lot of time with family and friends. After two years, I came back to Mumbai and joined Framestore.

This week I learnt that:

I learn something new every day but this week i learnt some new things in our shotreview tool.

What’s your current view?

Behind my monitors, there is a big window through which I can see the railway tracks, Ram Mandir station (local train station in Mumbai) and some buildings in front of it.

What do you need to work on the daily?

Music in my ears throughout the day.

Best thing about your work environment?

All team members are very talented and super helpful.

Framestore is great at:

Good facilities and the perfect working hours.

Favourite artform?

Photography and literature.

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Sherlock Holmes!

Happiness looks like:

Happiness is a form of courage.

If not here, then where?

Playing football on the field.

What do you think of too often?

I always think about my next trip or weekend socials.

Couldn’t live without:

An Indian dessert called Gulab Jamun.

If you ruled the world:

I would make some major decisions to save our nature.

Mayuresh Bhagawan Powar, you’ve been [FRAMED].
