[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

Whoa now! What did you hear? I thought I deleted those pictures!!! Ok, ok, I admit it was me…

What was your last brush with danger?

This past weekend! A spectacular fall on the ski slope. Full starfish pose sliding down the mountain head down. Wheeee!

Your last brush with greatness?

Being nominated for an Emmy for Cosmos a Spacetime Odyssey.

Your worst character fault?

I push myself really hard in sports and in life. I sometimes forget to be kind to myself the way I am with others.

Your most shining quality?

My empathy. I can easily put myself in someone else’s shoes and see the world through their eyes.

If you had taken a different path, what would you be doing now?

Easy, Secret Agent.

You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?

Somewhere warm, Bali or Thailand.

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

Can I have more than one? Ohhh. Dwayne Johnson, or Gal Gadot.

Fantasy cellmate?

Javier Bardem as Raoul Silva the baddie in Bond Skyfall.

Your greatest achievement?

Earning my Visual Effects Supervisor credit on Counterpart Season 2.

Most valuable skill?

Staying calm in the storm.

Go on, say something bragging:

A very long time ago I was Canadian national champion in bodybuilding.

Name your vice/pet peeve?

Vice: Chocolate… no shoes!!! Pet peeve: Mean people.

The DREAM project would entail:

Being on set again.

Your career highlight to date:

Getting to work with Neil Degrasse Tyson for months.

This week I learnt that:

-20 celsius is still way too cold.

What’s your current view?

My laptop and monitor in my home office.

Give us a desk tour!

Office Laptop and second monitor, personal laptop, coffee cup on constant refill, a bag of dog treats to keep the doggo happy while i’m in meetings.

What do you need to work, on the daily?

Coffee and a fast internet connection, oh and my phone!

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

My second family!

Best thing about your work environment?

Being around so many cool creative people.

Framestore is great at:

Getting the job done beyond expectations.

Favourite artform?

Paintings.

Favourite image?

Sunset over the ocean.

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Takeshi Kovacs from Altered Carbon.

Happiness looks like:

Listening to a child laugh out loud.

If not here, then where?

Sydney, Australia.

What do you think of too often?

How can I be a better version of myself.

And not enough?

How can I be kind to myself.

Couldn’t live without:

Loving and being loved.

If you ruled the world:

I’d end pollution and poverty.

Natasha Francis, you’ve been [FRAMED].
