If you could travel back in time, which film, TV series, advert, or immersive project would you love to have worked on?
I would love to have worked on Harry Potter. They have been my favourite since the first ever movie of the series was released!
Which Framestore character do you feel you’re most like?
Lorek Byrnison from His Dark Materials.
What fictional world or place would you like to visit?
There are many fascinating fantasy worlds and places that are interesting to visit — but some top choices of mine include the Magical World of Harry Potter, Black Panther’s Futuristic City of Wakanda, The Magical Land of Narnia and the Vast Universe of Star Wars. Each of these fantasy worlds offers unique experiences and adventures that capture and fuel my imagination.

Who or what inspired you to pursue a career in VFX?
I have always been fascinated by visual effects and the power it holds to bring imagination to life on the screens.

How do you explain what you do to someone who doesn’t work in VFX?
I would say “ I create visual effects for movies, TV shows, commercials, and other forms of media. These effects can range from creating fantasy creatures and environments to enhancing realistic scenes with additional elements or removing unwanted elements. Essentially, I use digital tools and techniques to bring the imaginary or impossible scenes to life on screens.”
Describe your career journey into the exciting world of VFX.
Overall, my career journey in the VFX industry has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. The constantly evolving nature of VFX technology keeps me excited to learn new skills and push the boundaries of what is possible in visual effects.
What does the day in the life of a Prep/Paint Artist look like?
Paint artists usually work collaboratively with the Compositing department. Paint is just to remove unwanted things from your footage or BG. E.g. wires used during action sequences & stunts have to be removed using Paint.

The movie — The Pursuit of Happyness.
How do you unlock your creativity?
I love to immerse myself in different art forms like music and films to stimulate my imagination and spark new ideas. I also find that taking a break and getting away from my work can help me approach work with a fresh perspective. So, all in all — I would say by remaining curious, open-minded, and committed to my art.
From where do you seek inspiration?
I seek inspiration from travelling in nature and listening to music.
Who in the industry do you admire most and why?
I admire VFX Supervisors as they contribute so much to the industry.

Never stop learning and growing as a person!

Smartphones and the Internet.
