[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

Terrible puns and word play. Dad jokes are my jam. I am always hungry for more!

What was your last brush with danger?

Ice skating in the park reacquainted me with the true forces of gravity.

Your last brush with greatness?

I made Bob the Drag Queen laugh when meeting him at a show.

Your worst character fault?

I can get lost in the details and magic of complexities.

Your most shining quality?

I ground myself in the present.

You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?

I’d start living a nomadic life, all around the world.

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

My younger sister Audrey.

Fantasy cellmate?

Lady Gaga. And we’d escape during an incredible performance, camouflaged by a light show.

Your greatest achievement?

Living my life unapologetically.

Most valuable skill?

Limitless curiosity.

Go on, say something bragging:

I have the ability to channel Uncle Iroh from Avatar: The Last Airbender (not the movie).

Name your vice/pet peeve?

People walking slowly in front of me.

The DREAM project would entail:

Beautiful creatures in a fantasy / alien world.

Your career highlight to date:

His Dark Materials, Season 1 winning a BAFTA for Special, Visual & Graphic Effects.

This week I learnt that:

Asking the right questions.

What’s your current view?

My cats chilling on chairs all around me; a bouquet left to dry on a table; snow coming down heavily; plants everywhere.

Give us a desk tour

Next to my monitor, I have a laptop and phone stand, a large bottle of water to stay hydrated, an agenda, and an ergonomic mouse. I always have a ton of Shotgun tabs opened including a bunch of pages I’ve custom built for scheduling.

What do you need to work, on the daily?

My agenda compiles all my action items for the week. I cannot function without it!

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

Innovative, fun, and structured.

Best thing about your work environment?

The best office manager I could ask for : my tuxedo cat Kuki, wearing his proper work tie.

Framestore is great at:

Pushing the envelope no matter the type of work required for a project.

Favourite art form?

Music videos.

Favourite image?

Jupiter chaotic storms.

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Steven Universe.

Happiness looks like:

Being in the now moment, in tune with nature and basking in light!

If not here, then where?

India, Japan or New Zealand.

What do you think of too often?

Space travel, and how we are stars and stars are us.

And not enough?

Deep waters and ocean travels.

Couldn’t live without:

Music.

If you ruled the world:

We’d all live in sustainable homes and animals would live in harmony with us. There would be enough plant-based food for everyone.

How are you staying inspired by working remotely?

I have dance parties everyday with myself as often as possible, at any moment of the day. Working standing up also helps.

How are you spending your weekends?

Cooking delicious meals and treats, and experimenting with different flavours.

What’s the biggest lesson you’ve learned about yourself during quarantine?

I thrive when I prioritize self-care above everything else.

Include a pic of your work station

Raphaelle Weisz, you’ve been [FRAMED].
