[FRAMED] exists to shine light on Framestore’s most fascinating cast of characters: its people. Presented with a probing list of questions and a demandingly short deadline, this feature puts the hopes, dreams, and desktops of our MVPs on the digital wall, for all to see. Welcome to [FRAMED].

What are you guilty of?

Nothing, I’m an Angel! 😇

What was your last brush with danger?

Sunday jogging down Mont Royal on a particularly icy path, but as this is my second Montreal winter, I can totally style out a slip…slide…fall!

Your last brush with greatness?

Haha — in an office with Oscar winners! ….also I think Brie Larson said “hi” or was it “bye” to me after a photo scan last September, does that count?

Your worst character fault?

Perfectionist tendencies

Your most shining quality?

Perfectionist tendencies, it’s a love-hate relationship!

You’re on the run from the law, where are you headed?

Byron Bay, Australia and my whole life journey getting there. However, I bought a round-the-world ticket with lots of stops along the way.

Who’s your partner-in-crime?

I’m a lone ranger, but by day I work with a kick-ass production team.

Fantasy cellmate?

My latest Instagram stalk — “alfie_the_alpaca_in_adelaide”. (Look him up!)

Your greatest achievement?

The euphoria I felt finishing my first marathon, I cried, I laughed, I had black toe nails for six months after.

Most valuable skill?

Commitment — Rain, hail, or shine, I’ll turn up every day ready for battle.

Go on, say something bragging:

Strategy board games…..I’m hot!

Name your vice/pet peeve?

Getting stuck behind a slow walker…. I have places to be, people to meet!

The DREAM project would entail:

A locked edit…. Ah haha!

Your career highlight to date:

Always the last project we delivered — Captain Marvel!

This week I learnt that:

Sabrina Gagnon, Head of Production, has an amazing excel template for importing bookings into shotgun, pretty sweeeeet!

What’s your current view?

I’m sitting behind a door facing a wall with a whiteboard listing all the things that we need to chase on our current project, it’s a glamorous life!

Give us a desk tour

Klean Kanteen water bottle, chap stick, and my classic calculator that I actually stole from the London office because I wasn’t able to part ways #producer.

What do you need to work, on the daily?

Morning coffee — imperative.

Framestore is, to you, in three words:

home-nine-years

Best thing about your work environment?

Montreal — Love, love, love living walking distance to work.

Framestore is great at:

Bringing together great talent, growing from within, and leaving your ego at the door!

Favourite artform?

Music, couldn’t live without it.

Favourite image?

Someone sent me this recently and struck me as a beautiful moment.

“Boy receiving a new pair of shoes at an orphanage in Austria , 1946.”

Fictional character you’d like to hang with?

Peter Pan — I’m not ready to grow old.

Happiness looks like:

Waking up in a tent on a mountain.

If not here, then where?

…above answer.

What do you think of too often?

Deadlines

And not enough?

How to be kind and generous to the people I love.

Couldn’t live without:

My Brita water filter, I’m a convert!

If you ruled the world:

It would be a hard job! We’d eradicate single use plastics, we’d eliminate fear and terrorism, and we’d inspire a culture of peace and understanding regardless of race, religion, and sex.

Sophie Carroll, you’ve been [FRAMED].
