What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Visiting Pandora from ‘Avatar’ would be breathtaking with its bioluminescent landscapes and floating mountains.

Your career highlight to date:

Successfully leading a major project to completion and implementing a strategy that significantly helped reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Who or what inspired you to pursue a career in VFX?

The ability to transform imaginative ideas into visually captivating realities sparked my interest in pursuing a career in VFX.

The DREAM project would entail:

Working on ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was a dream project for any VFX artist. I had the privilege of bringing to life dynamic worlds and characters that fans love. Collaborating with a team of exceptionally talented artists, we created stunning visuals that elevated the film’s signature mix of action, humor, and heartfelt storytelling. This experience was both exhilarating and inspiring, as we pushed the limits of creativity and technology to contribute to a globally iconic series.

Best thing about your work environment?

The best part of my work environment is the seamless integration of artistic creativity with state-of-the-art technology, fostering an atmosphere where innovation thrives and visually stunning results are achieved.

What’s your favourite movie/ series/ advert/ immersive experience and why?

I love ‘Avengers: Endgame’ for its groundbreaking visual effects, epic battle scenes, and seamless integration of CGI and live-action. The meticulous attention to detail and innovative techniques make it a visually stunning and immersive experience.

From where do you seek inspiration?

As a VFX artist, I find inspiration in the limitless possibilities of the digital realm, where imagination becomes reality. Whether it’s the grandeur of epic films, the subtlety of natural phenomena, or the abstract forms found in dreams, I pull from diverse sources to craft visual experiences that push the boundaries of creativity and immerse audiences in new worlds.

Share the best piece of advice you’ve ever received:

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received is to always stay curious and never stop learning. No matter how much you think you know, there’s always something new to discover, and that curiosity keeps life interesting and fulfilling.

What tech/innovation could you not live without?

As someone who values connectivity and efficiency, I couldn’t imagine life without my smartphone, high-speed internet, streaming services for entertainment, and advancements in renewable energy technologies that contribute to a sustainable future.

What tech do you need that hasn’t been invented yet?

  • Affordable and efficient desalination technology for clean water access.
  • Reliable and scalable solutions for carbon capture and storage to combat climate change.
  • Advanced medical diagnostics that can detect diseases at very early stages.
  • Renewable energy storage solutions that make solar and wind power more reliable.
